Pet Licences

Licensing Your Pet is the Law

Town of Viking By-law 2003-556 requires that all cats and dogs be licenced. Failure to licence or renew your pet's licence could result in a $100 penalty.


Restricted Animals

Dogs and Cats are the only animals that can be licensed and kept within the Town of Viking. Some dog breeds require special licences and handling as vicious or restricted breeds.


Lost Pets


Has your pet gone for a walk on its own?  Report lost pets to the Town office.

File a Complaint

Barking Dog

Report noise violations (barking, howling), leash law violations, scoop law violations, injured or deceased animals to the Town Office.

Pet Owners Responsibilites

Pet Owners are responsible for the care and control of their dogs and cats. In Viking you are allowed up to four domestic animals (dogs or cats).
